Duisenberg school of finance is a collaboration of the Dutch financial sector and universities, with the ambition to support innovative research and offer top quality academic education in core areas of finance. With a start up subsidy of the Municipality of Amsterdam and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the school opened her doors in 2008.

Several of the Netherlands' most prestigious financial sector institutions joined hands in the collaboration of Duisenberg school of finance, with an ambition to create a world class academic institution in finance in Amsterdam, delivering ‘best of breed' finance talent and adding to the ongoing global attractiveness of Amsterdam as a place of business for financial sector institutions.

Given the close cooperation with industry, Duisenberg school of finance is well-positioned to bring global financial leaders from these and other international companies to the classroom, bridging the gap between theory and practice.

Academic Partners

Five notable Dutch universities, the University of Amsterdam, VU University, Erasmus University Rotterdam, Tilburg University and Tinbergen Institute established Duisenberg school of finance. Professors from these Dutch universities have joined together with other renowned professors from prestigious universities around the globe to form a world-class faculty. 
 

Holland Financial Centre

Holland Financial Centre supports Duisenberg school of finance with respect to the Finance & Sustainability research and education programme. Holland Financial Centre is a joint initiative of organisations throughout the financial sector aimed at strengthening the Dutch financial sector.
