8. Do I have to speak Dutch fluently to obtain a job in the Dutch finance industry?
For some jobs, Dutch is required. It often depends on which department and in which function you are working. However, many globally active Dutch companies within our corporate network do not require you to speak Dutch fluently. In most international companies where you regularly deal with international clients, English is commonly the working language. Fluency in English is therefore an absolute requirement. We do encourage you to learn (some) Dutch if you wish to fully integrate and perform at the highest level within the Dutch social and professional society.
